We Are Here to HelpOne of A KindAid & Abet

A peer led organisation offering a support service to people on their release from prison.
Please note, we are currently updating our website and plan to have this completed by the end of May 2023

What we do

Focus

Our key focus is aiding recovery and abetting people from going back to prison

Understand

Our mentors have lived experience of Criminal Justice System and understand the barriers faced in prison and integrating back into the community

Help

Assisting people leaving prison to engage with housing, financial, health and addiction support services

Why Aid & Abet?

Our vision is: “Once someone has been in prison, they need never go back”.

The name puts a positive spin on a well-worn piece of legal jargon.  We aid people, and abet them in their determination to make good on their intentions to avoid the routes their past has taken them in.

Valued Feedback

The very brave @JamesSu19228213 back at his old high school  @forresterhs today sharing his story with staff and pupils. It takes a lot of courage to share your past in such an honest and vulnerable way. Well done James! #PoorOutcomesAreNotInevitable
