Mentor
George joined the Aid & Abet team as a volunteer mentor in November 2018. George wanted to join our team for two reasons. The first one being his admiration of the help given to people that we support and secondly he wanted to bring his own experience of being involved in the criminal justice system and addiction for most of his life.
George mentors people who are caught up in similar situations to the ones he personally experienced where he shows them that it is possible to change and shares how he turned his life around.
Since joining Aid & Abet, several opportunities have arisen for George such as being part of the Tribal Home and the Military Tattoo projects. His involvement in these projects and Aid & Abet have led to his full time employment in a charity called Heavy Sounds where he helps kids in schools.
